GENERAL TIPS: STEP BY STEP

1. Get yourself a notebook, or sheet of paper. List today's date, and what search engines you post to today and their web address. REMEMBER that listing your site more than once every 31 days..may get your site black balled and not listed at all. So keep track of the dates you submit.
2. Have a list of your sites meta tags in hand so that you can match them exactly. If you don not have your meta tags go HERE and get them installed on your web site first.
3. Some sites may require a user ID and password be sure to write them down as well as you go.
4. Click on the search engine link below.
5. Check the search engine first to see if your web site is already listed.
6. If you are not listed, enter all the requested data and hit submit or enter.
7. If you are listed your may "edit" or "refresh" your site data.
5. Move on to the next link and repeat the process.

DATA ENTRY TIPS

1. Enter your data as truthfully as you can.
2. If you have a business e-mail address or City e-mail address use that: it makes you look professional and cuts down on the amount of spam running through your personal e-mail account.
3. Keep in mind that you are promoting your online business so keep a "promotional" slant in mind.
4. When listing phone numbers or FAX numbers use your business numbers.
5. When listing your addresses, use a P.O. Box or Business mail address if you can.
6. Triple check important data before you hit "submit" a wrong URL will get you ZERO traffic!
7. Save this page in "favorites" so you can click back to it if you get lost or forget a term.

DOMAIN ADDRESS : This is the part of the address that lays between www. and .com or .net or .org.
TITLE : This is the header line for your business web site usually your business call name:Barney's Bunion Boutique.
BUSINESS NAME : This is the legal name of your business that may be different from your web site title name: Integrity Tech Enterprises.
KEY WORDS : These are words that a searcher will type in to find your site, Use Your Meta Tag List. Remember to put your BEST words first as you may be limited.
DESCRIPTION : They are looking for is what you are doing on your site: Tom's Computer Service, computer sales, computer parts, computer service, online order list, overnight delivery, FAST service. You may be limited to a word count and may be restricted from "promotion lines," but you can get creative with this if you think it through with a business slant.
SITE DESCRIPTION : What they are looking for here is a page description or "eyeball" discription as to who and what your site is. Example: Integrity Tech City, 200+ pages of merchant shops and free information.
